THE IDEA

You control one avatar. But a chamber often needs two actors at once — for example, someone has to stand on a pad to hold a door open while someone else walks through it. Impossible alone? Not quite. You record a take, and on your next take that recording replays as a translucent echo — a perfect, deterministic ghost of your past self that you now cooperate with. Present-you works alongside past-you.

A TURN, STEP BY STEP

  1. Walk your avatar onto the pad and stay there.
  2. Press Space (or BANK) — your run is stored as an echo and the chamber resets.
  3. Now the echo replays your last take, holding the pad — so the door stays open.
  4. Move present-you through the open door to the EXIT. Cleared!
An echo keeps holding its pad even after its recording ends — once it stops moving, it stays put. Bigger chambers need two or three echoes cooperating at once.

SCORING — FEWER ECHOES IS BETTER

Your score is the number of echoes you used to solve the chamber. Every chamber has a par. Solve at or under par for ⭐⭐⭐. Your best for each chamber is saved on your device. Elegance beats brute force — fewer orbs, better run.

DAILY & STREAK

The ⭐ Daily is the same chamber for everyone, chosen deterministically from the calendar date. Solve it each day to build a streak 🔥 (kept on your device). Miss a day and the streak resets.

SHARE

After you clear a chamber, hit Share result — it copies a spoiler-free line to your clipboard, like:

ENCORE — Daily #188 solved with 1 echo ⭐⭐⭐
…plus the link. Post it; challenge a friend to beat your echo count.

CONTROLS

On a phone, use the on-screen D-pad and buttons.

ABOUT & CREDITS

ENCORE is an original game by Command — a minimalist, neon record-and-replay puzzle. It runs entirely in your browser; nothing you play is sent to a server, and your progress lives only on your device.

Coming soon: a free Apple app is planned — the same HTML5 game wrapped natively for iOS (via WKWebView / Capacitor), so you can play it on the go.
